Nancy O'Dell's career began in Myrtle Beach South Carolina as an anchor and reporter for news at WPDE-TV. Then, she joined WCBD as an anchor in the morning and a crime reporter. Her reporting on the streets of Charleston regarding the leniency of police officers towards DUI cases resulted in the State Law Enforcement Division investigating the DUI instances. Ms. O'Dell was awarded the Best Report of the Media Award South Carolina by the Associated Press.
